© Network Russia 2010 AIM:  To provide an opportunity for young Russian leaders to experience the UK Scout Campsite / Activity Centre operation during the summer vacation over approximately a three week period. Conditions of Participation (Russian Young Leader) Be between the age of 18 and 25 Be a member of Scouting in the Russian Federation  Be able to obtain financial support to reach the UK and return to Russia Provide a report of their experiences and achievements whilst in the UK Play an active part in the Camp Site Service Team at the hosting Centre UK Scout Campsites/Activity Centres Scout Centres such as Chalfont heights, Phasels Wood, Broadstone Warren, and Bradley Wood etc. have offered assistance with this programme which is intended to help young Russian Leaders develop Scouting skills that they can implement when they return to their home groups in Russia. Participants join the Service Crew team for the duration of their stay in the UK and become an integral member of that Service Team. Within the limitations of adventurous activity rules, the Campsite/Activity Centre also provide the best possible instruction and opportunity to participate in managing activities on and off the site appropriate to the campsite. The Campsite/Activity Centre also give participants an opportunity to see the surrounding area – this can include local towns / places of interest – and the typical life within the community. Above all, they ensure that the young leaders experience a sense of achievement, contribution and fun. Funding The Campsite/Centre host the particupants in the way of accommodation and food.  Network Russia members arrange transport from and to the airports used for flights.      Want more information or how you could help with this programme?
