UK Scout Campsites/Activity Centres
Scout Centres such as Chalfont heights, Phasels Wood, Broadstone Warren, and Bradley Wood etc. have offered
assistance with this programme which is intended to help young Russian Leaders develop Scouting skills that they
can implement when they return to their home groups in Russia.
Participants join the Service Crew team for the duration of their stay in the UK and become an integral member of
that Service Team.
Within the limitations of adventurous activity rules, the Campsite/Activity Centre also
provide the best possible instruction and opportunity to participate in managing activities
on and off the site appropriate to the campsite.
The Campsite/Activity Centre also give participants an opportunity to see the surrounding
area – this can include local towns / places of interest – and the typical life within the
community.
Above all, they ensure that the young leaders experience a sense of achievement,
contribution and fun.
Funding
