Vanilla Ice Cream 2

  • 2 vanilla pods
  • 16 fl oz double cream
  • 3 oz Sugar
  • 3 egg yolks


  1. Split the vanilla pods and scrape out the seeds.  Cut the pods in half and add the pods and seeds to the cream and heat until almost but not quite booiling.
  2. Add the sugar to dissolve.
  3. Take off the heat and remove the pods.
  4. Allow to cool and then pour into an ice cream maker.
