|Ingredients||6 oz||Butter or Margarine|
|2 oz||Caster Sugar|
|4 oz||Plain Flour|
|2 oz||Corn Flour|
|few drops||Vanilla Essence|
Cream the sugar and the butter or margarine until light and fluffy.
Fold in the sieved flour and corn flour and add the Vanilla Essence.
Place the mixture in a piping bag fitted with a large nozzle and pipe the mixture in facy shapes on a greased baking sheet.
Decorate with pieces of glace cherries and andgelica.
Bake in the centre of the oven at 350F, 180C or Gas Mark 4 for 15-20 Minutes.
Lunch time was dinner in my home so the evening after school was tea. These biscuits were a firm favorite of mine though I notice from my mother's writing that this recipe was taken from People's Friend on 16th April 1979.
