beefburgers mothers

  raw minced beef ½ kg 1 lb
  fresh white breadcrumbs 50g 20z
   milk 90ml 3 fl oz
  1 small onion finely chopped    
  parsley finely chopped 10ml 2 tsp
  made English Mustard 2.5ml ½ tsp
  dash of Worcester Sauce    
  salt and freshly ground black pepper    
  butter or corn oil for frying    


Combine all the ingredients together, except the fat for frying, and mix thoroughly. Using floured hands, divide the mixture into 8 equal pieces and shape each into 1cm / ½" thick flat rounds.

To freeze: Place the hamburgers on a tray and open freeze. When frozen wrap each individually then pack together in a polythene bag. Seal and return to the freezer.

To serve: Heat the butter or oil in a shallow frying pan and fry the frozen hamburgers in the hot fat for 6-8 minutes on each side. Alternatively grill under a hot grill for 89 minutes on each side.
